E-asier property for all

Everything seems to be going electronic these days. The legal world is no exception.

The Land Registry is developing "e-conveyancing" an electronic system for the buying and selling of property in England and Wales. It is an attempt to replace the existing paper based process with a completely electronic one.

Pilots of the system have been running around the country, and it is expected that full implementation will not happen for a few years but the changes are coming.

dgb are taking advantage of the move towards e-conveyancing. Already we can carry out property searches electronically; have direct electronic access to the land register; submit all client SDLT land transaction returns electronically; and can communicate with you by email.
